Very bluntly, Hull is being well and truly stitched up over funding by this Government.

now let try and put something we do not already know

Ministers have deliberately calculated the level of grant funding to Hull so that councillors would face grim options on the council tax and service cuts, no matter what efficiency savings, managerial cost-cutting and depletion of reserves they undertake.

I am forced to ask who elected these Ministers and where is our Arad spring
even old fashioned eastern Europe is having it out on the streets about injustice greed and corruption keep reading if you don`t believe we have corruption in the grim north

The game is rigged against them.

The most disadvantaged areas of the country, mainly in the North, are having the deepest town hall funding cuts from this Government. The wealthiest areas, mainly in the South, have the least severe cuts. Some even get funding increases.

These are the same areas of the country that gained the most from the Government's income tax cut for millionaires.
