where heaven is!

Santa Venera this is on Malta where l find heaven in the place and the people!

akwadott
Located midway between the old capital Mdina and the new capital Valletta, the town of Santa Venera grew in importance as a staging post en route.
its Artihture and wonderous buildings along with odd little cafe make this another beautiful resting chatting place.
Santa Venera's position meant the locality was always the focus of transport and communication projects serving the two cities. TRavel along route on a local bus stopping in either Valatta or Wignacourt marvel at what First was the Wignacourt acqueduct, completed in 1615, and built to solve the problems of Valletta's drinking water supply. The flat lands of Santa Venera posed a problem to the acqueduct builders who devised a system of arches to increase the gradient. You can still see large parts of the acqueduct here. The second project was the railway. Of course the railway never truly arrived,(KEVIN WALLERS VIEW), Track-laying started in the late 19th century for a service that was to last only until the 1930s. Today, Santa Venera is an urban area comprising residential and industrial estates.

Through out the islands of Malta and gozo you can find these tranquil havens of rest and beauty. My idea of Heaven, long time l have been absent.

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
