kevin waller on the hardest peice of youth work l ever did

Kevin Waller on the hardest piece of youth work he ever did.

Too close provision, Finish of the fitness4life project.
Practical stuff..sell all the stuff. (although nearly everything was given away).
Emotionally it drained myself.
Worried about where the youth would go,
What would become of them?
Friendships could they be maintained by the youth to the youth?
Friendships between the youth and community.
What about relationships with God?
Understanding from the bible,
Would it be applied to life they live?
Jesus..they had been introduced to the culture of his teachings
Encouraged to follow..Jesus.
Church folk well,  Would those relationships end?  Of course they did.
Life,  where would they find Adults who take an interest in the youths experiences and direction.
My part in their journey is over, My part in their journey is over. Yeah it's sinking in...

My part in their Journey of the last 5 years is finished.
Over ...No role...No part for me to play
Did l listen enough!
Is What we shared going to be recalled,
Remembered.
Will the words,
The trips,
Visits,
Residential,
Group talks,
Personal sharing,
What value will any of this be to them in the uncertain future?
In the multitude of all my actions..words..experiences..where was the Godsenseness of it all

My part in their journey is over!

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
