oooh dusty

just found this track on an old dusty springfield 40 track CD
HERES THE LYRICS

It's like looking in the window of a fine boutique
Knowing there is nothing I could ever buy
Still I want your love so much that I could die
But I just can't lead a double life being one man's lover one man's wife
But you can start a fire raging just by touching me
Even though I know we're not supposed to touch
Oh I've never wanted anyone so much
How I wish that I had found you first don't you see my heart's about to burst
Let me love you once before you go
Your eyes keep saying yes to me so don't keep saying no
Let me love you once and then you'll see
No one's ever gonna love you more than me
[ piano ]
Let me lock the door and open all my love to you
All the love I've longed to give you since we met
It's the only chance I'm ever gonna get
And I just can't let it disappear
oh my darling please come over hereLet me love you once before you go...
No one's ever gonna love you more than me

I'm wishing on a star

But l am also prayin

as well as wishin

not a big fan of Christmas.
it gonna be OK this year.
got to keeep fit,
Stay warm .
eat well.
take my tablets!
swim
get my body in good condition

I'm wishing on a star
To follow where you are
[follow where you are]
I'm wishing on a star,
oh oh,
And I wish on all the rainbows that I see

there is talk on the streets

On the streets in our area there is no evidence of Christmas
It like everyone knows we are in a recession and life is tough and hard
Money is a issue for so many
there talk on the streets
l am not sure that it will stay as talk
actions against others will be a choice
action against inequality
action against injustice
there is talk on the streets

there is talk on the streets
It`s getting louder
no longer like a
whisper

cold but HAPPY kinda

Well yet again we are without power in our village small, very small town.Again its been very cold.
So being me l went out to local cafe and had drinking chocolate and scrambled egg on bagels HAPPY but COLD
Third time recently last time was in November 21st before that September
this has been the longest period.

"The whole country is going to ruin",

That's what they said on `Upstairs Downstairs` last week end (T.V.)also.

Somewhere, on a tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean, several local volunteers are in the final-touches stage for the fourth edition of Bethlehem f’Għajnsielem, the event that has enchanted thousands of visitors over the past two years. The nativity village is situated adjacent to the Għajnsielem main square, on the island of Gozo, just 5 minutes by walk from Mgarr Harbour. Appropriately called “Bethlehem f’Għajnsielem”, this life-size crib, constructed on 20,000 square metre (sqm) of fields on a stretch of land known as Ta’ Passi, comes to life during the month of December with about 150 actors taking visitors back in time to Judea of 2000 years ago. The atmosphere will simply be unique… horses turn mills, villagers go about their jobs, shepherds inhabit caves, animals roam in enclosed spaces and a poor unknown couple tend their newly-born in a grotto

a youth club nite

sometimes people ask whats it like youth work and young people

90% of the time some people would look at the position,
The job.

Wonder how can this be employment?

Just looks like you are playing pool, having a laff, playing table tennis, listening to music, sharing a coke, On holiday (residential),
Playing soccer in a park, Attending a concert.
how can this be paid employment?

what you have to look at is this
it`s a place that is safe.
Where our young people can grow, and develop, socialise,Interact,be themselves.
Discover own needs.
It`s economical viable = cheap or free, the programme must be assessable to all.
Espically Girls and those who are not yet comfortable fitting in!
Away from challanges like ,The challanges of poverty. Perhaps Emotional issues at home

A Place to feel relaxed away from parents and others who may simply not understand the youths.

But a place also where you will be listened too, Engaged with
someone will show appropriate adult support. A place where faith is opened
the adult should be a person you can trust. Who understand legality and its where you can make plans for your futures

when you grow up look back , the youthie! There you formed a lot of your ideas about life. Relationships God.
The world Your place in it! You became stronger and were valued
it was like a second home.

the road to hell

You must learn this lesson fast

And learn it well

This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway

Oh no, this is the road to Hell

sure thing for myself l had the journey from hell last week
the days at present are so grey
today its very slushy and bitterly cold
the winds are a bit manic at present also

my December road to hell (derby)

Well I'm standing by a riverBut the water doesn't flowIt boils with every poison you can think ofAnd I'm underneath the streetlightsBut the light of joy I knowScared beyond belief way down in the shadowsAnd the perverted fear of violenceChokes a smile on every faceAnd common sense is ringing out the bellsThis ain't no technological breakdownOh no, this is the road to Hell
And all the roads jam up with creditAnd there's nothing you can doIt's all just bits of paperFlying away from youLook out world take a good lookWhat comes down hereYou must learn this lesson fastAnd learn it wellThis ain't no upwardly mobile freewayOh no, this is the road to Hell

You must learn this lesson fastAnd learn it wellThis ain't no upwardly mobile freewayOh no, this is the road to Hell

2 wins in a row at the KC

CORRY Evans is urging caretaker manager Nick Barmby to stay on as Hull City boss and mastermind a push for the Premier League in the New Year.
Evans was the man of the moment as the Tigers notched a third consecutive win with a 1-0 victory at Coventry City on Saturday.

l love music by the O`jays
just listened to the full lengh version
banging along on my bongo drums
that sound like l been taking some acid nooooooooooooo noooooooooooooo
just the effect music can have on myself
might get the decks out for the kids tonite and play stuff loud
sometimes that the idea in youth work

but 2 young lads have been giving committee members some grief
so all the staff who are now volunteers have to deal with this stuff

not the way it should be
l feel in the big society when you volunteer
you get taken for granted

it is so hard finding work
3 of us in this office all now unemployed
that is a lot of people
true that

working in the old days on the seafront

emotional deprivation, spiritual development, leisurely pursuits, physical development
the four pillars of youth work
back in the day,
now its very much emotional literacy ,key five ECM principle's, faith based, issue related.

so bit of grudge match at the KC saturda

JAMES Chester insists he will not hold a grudge against Nigel Pearson when the former Hull City boss brings his Leicester side to the KC on Saturday.
Pearson makes a swift return to East Yorkshire this weekend just 18 days after he walked out on the Tigers to be reunited with former club Leicester.

The abrupt nature of his exit will guarantee a hot reception back at the KC but Chester says he has no ill-feelings towards the boss who gave him a big break in the Championship

City had looked on course to end the Saints' perfect home record after Robert Koren gave the Tigers a deserved half-time lead with his fourth goal of the season.
But, just as they had surrendered a lead against Burnley on Saturday, City were left reeling as Saints hit back with two goals in eight minutes at the start of the second half.

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
