well known rule breaker


here is a well known rule breaker
hair always to long
sleeps odd hours
steps out and takes risks
thinks outa da box
see the Church has an hindrance to knowing Jesus
doesn`t look like can be trusted
eats stupid food
loves chips and kebabs
watches hill street blues
reads the bible
goes the extra mile
plays loud funky, soul,music
doesn`t get the southerners.
worship. . not knowing thw latest chorus
but... well that's living life for Jesus
hates injustice
seeks mercy
got to get more humble bit
needs lot more work done on himself.

a>did not enjoy the conference the retreat day was so poor like if you are in a desert that good but l not dry and desperate


not eaten properly so feel and look so overweight it not true,
got a planning meeting tonite try and get organised for the next few months

watched Docter Who.
sometimes wish l could travel thru time
l would be wishing to go back...

l am away soon but the weather not looking so good.Will be a long journey but confident be a blessing as we reflect, hopefully listen and meet others in similar roles from other parts of our country.

l am feeling strangely hot and bothered having been in meetings for the best part of the last few days.
lot of hopefully controlled listening, input that was critical but up building.
tough decision
my own future comes into the balance in 6 months.
not a long way away, , , but very near.

its great being able to share pics and give people sense of where l am in my life.
so sharing a few chips on the promenade in a coastal town that they forgot to close down with Josh and Chris.
In the gym with a whole group of lads and girls a typical Wednesday evening in the gym.
In my home listening too some vinyl,Newark decks, oldies the BEATLES.

another late night text


family you cannot pick them
younger family member text me early this morning
coming home from a party,perhaps a bit drunk . .anyway l was awoken decided to pray
fell back to sleep eventually..l was younger. . and perhaps just as crazy..BUT now l am older and a bit grumpy..

The square ring
l have spent a lot of time as a teenager and an adult working in this square ring.
despite its history, a type of theology, hard disciplined rules, rough practice.
l have spilt blood and some tears. Experienced physical hurts.
experienced further others hurts my own and theirs triumphs.
Here is where l have found safety. a broken relationship so l came here to forget.
A broken heart so here l came to get the hurt away.
needing to be with friends so here we trained at the Albemarle Park in Hull, the golden gloves in the colliery, the boys club, here..
here l learn`t to cope..l thought and sweated and worked out
had my ego massaged here...growing older learn't that life is tough.
the image. . well it has been a place of safety for me.
has it made me more macho?
tougher?
l don`t think so. Pastorally more skilled?
It has been a place to develop from..to grow from..
A place to fail inside..

burnin bridges




well we all went to see the abbey, listen to the Bells ringing out,
Also let off few candle type balloons.
First one went brilliant.
Next effort got stuck in a tree, hanging from the bridge,
this tree then caught alight.
It stayed alight.
l/we decided the best way was to run off to the car and drive away,no ctv no witnesses.
we looked at the damage from the riverside,(well worse) and it was well alight.
eventually it went out after 18 minutes.
what can l say?
the only option l could see was urinating on the fire from the bridge wall but this would have mad matters worse.(arrested,exposer,useless idea)
life is like this illustration.... matters sometimes get outta control..
...things end up burning down around ones feet!

we had a brilliant time at EASYFEST our festival for the community
lot of trust risk taking and restoration
Make Jesus Known a RAPP group followed some slick tunes and performed a well received slot positive message and clear focus on the true way of Jesus.
